Last weekend we catered for a birthday party in Chippendale in Sydney for about 40 people. Chef Dave and waiter Joel were on duty over the weekend ensuring the best paella was had from all guests who attended the paella party.
Our lovely client went with a mixed paella and a vegetarian paella both 70cm each. This combination feeds up to 50 people and is a fantastic way to offer two different choices to the guests. We often have clients selecting this combination so that they can keep everyone happy. Take care of the meat and seafood eaters with a mixed paella and then ensure everyone can eat with a vegetarian paella. Our vegetarian paella is also vegan, gluten free, dairy free, egg free and nut free.
It was a beautiful rooftop setting for the catering in Chippendale with our paella working perfectly on the outdoor balcony. Paella works great on balconies, especially for our corporate catering clients who are after unique catering for staff drinks, Christmas parties and other office celebrations. Often, we find our private clients have great areas for us to set up in backyards and balconies, however; our corporate catering clients often do not have this luxury. This is where our drop off paella can work really well. I digress.
Paella is a fantastic way to entertain and is a great idea for birthday party catering. Its super easy and means that we do all the work. We bring everything pre-prepared at our Gold Licence commercial kitchen in Artarmon and then cook the paella in front of your guests. As always, we put down our portable protective mats to ensure the clients flooring is protected from any splashes or spills. We then serve the paella using our waitstaff (which are included in most of our pans) and then clean up leaving no trace that we were even there. We place any leftovers in your fridge for later and even take all the rubbish with us. It’s so simple and easy!
