Last weekend we also catererd in Mosman, Turramurra and Dee Why covering a large range of Sydney with our amazing paella. All our paella is cooked fresh onsite on the evening and then served directly from the pan to your guests.
Paella catering in Mosman
It was Mother’s Day in Sydney last Sunday and we were asked to cater for a small family lunch in Mosman on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. We served a 70cm mixed paella once again in the pouring rain and strong wind.
We received some great feedback from the event “Mark was great, food was great and all prepared in some preposterous conditions!”This is the type of feedback which we love to hear but we do get it quite regularly. We love doing these types of paella parties as well as they are smaller and intimate and allow your guests to really get to know the chef who is looking after them.
Paella catering in Dee Why
On Saturday evening Dave cooked for an even smaller function of just 12 people for dinner. Again, the weather proved challenging, but of course we made it work for this backyard paella party in Dee Why on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
We also had a number of tapas items on the menu including our marinated olives, sliced jamon, kingfish ceviche skewers and chorizo with reduced apple cider glaze. This started everyone’s evening off fantastically and got their tastebuds ready for a 55cm mixed paella with chicken, chorizo, salmon and prawns. We are one of the only paella catering companies in Sydney who will cater for a number this small, but it does cost a little extra to have a chef for this number of guests.
Chef Dave also served a dessert of our mini gelato cones which have been dipped in chocolate and were an absolute hit even on a cold and rainy night.
Again, we received some great feedback from the event.
“Dave was great – I’d actually like to book you 7 days a week for dinner so I never have to cook again, but sadly – that is a tad cost prohibitive! Will definitely use you again soon.”
Paella catering in Turramurra
Also on Saturday night we catered for a fantastic birthday party in Turramurra in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney. This job basically had it all. Four different tapas and three different paellas.
We served arancini, chilli & garlic prawn skewers, chorizo with apple cider vinegar and mushroom quiche. These tapas were a great start to a cold evening and enjoyed by all.
We then served a chicken and chorizo paella, a seafood paella and a smaller vegetarian paella which meant that everyone was able to eat. Our paellas are all gluten, dairy, nut and egg free and our vegetarian paella is also vegan. This was important for this event as there were some strict diatery requirements which we had to cater for. We also included our mixed leaf salad and pane di casa bread.
For dessert we offered canape desserts from our sister catering company Boardwalk Catering. These consisted of lemon meringue tarts and the Boardwalk Catering chocolate brownie with salted caramel which was an absolute hit.
Best of all we cooked and served all this food without using the clients kitchen all from their undercover outdoor deck.
We as always received great feedback “I was so impressed with Paella Amor. The food and service was fantastic and I will definitely be recommending you to my friends! Thanks so much for everything”
So overall a successful but rainy weekend full of jobs.
This weekend we have 4 jobs on again all over Sydney catering for over 300 people. I will post again next week to let everyone know how they go!
Have a great week Sydney and if you are in need of paella catering please do not hesitate to contact us! We would be more than happy to assist.
Tim and Alli.
